Bling! Bang! Boom!

Kelly blogging here! Time to catch up. Shea and Mike were destined to be married on the water. They live and own Calico Jack’s Marina on Old Hickory Lake. So their venue, Rock Castle, was the perfect place for this outdoorsy and adventurous couple! The ceremony decor was inspired by Molly and Jason's wedding from the Bachelor. Tall cylinder vases lined the aisles with water and floating hot pink gerber daisies! The pink kissing balls added another level of color!

From the mashed potato bar to the bride’s bling bling shoes, everything was perfect. They had a late afternoon ceremony and a reception lakeside with a seated dinner underneath a huge white tent complete with a chandelier. The night ended dramatically with fireworks (even though this was a historical site and we really weren’t allowed to shoot fireworks... guess who took one for the team on that?!?)



"What? No fireworks?! Ooops!"

My favorite part was when Mike, the groom, interrupted the ceremony to let everyone know how much he was IN LOVE with Shea! It was so sweet and definitely made me misty eyed! Mike didn’t have to tell everyone that day that he was in love with Shea; you can see it every time he looks at her. Guests were entertained with an outdoor photo booth and the incredible vocal stylings of Mr.





This was the 2nd wedding that weekend and Details was in charge of the coordinating, decorating, and the flowers. So with Margaret and Jeanie working on the other, I was the lead for Shea and Mike. I enjoyed so much working with this fun couple and at this beautiful venue! And I hope they enjoyed their honeymoon in Miami.
